Gardenia Price Not Increased After GST

The admins of Suara Rakyat, which has blocked me, must be some of the most uneducated lying morons in Malaysia.
They just posted the price list of Gardenia and said "Dulu harga SST (10%) Gardenia Butterscotch RM3.82, BILA DAH GANTIKAN GST (6%) HARGANYA 'JADI MURAH' RM4.45... Kan Kan Kan..."
And then they post a picture of Syed Mokhtar and say cronies getting more rich.
Looks like Pakatan Rakyat people will take any opportunity to spread lies and incite hatred towards certain people and the govt.

Dear Suara Rakyat Bodow people ... the "WP" in the price does not mean harga sebelum GST and RRP does not mean harga selepas GST.
WP means wholesale price - meaning harga to the retailers and RRP means "Recommended Retail Price" or the price retailers are expected to sell the products.

Therefore, the price of Gardenia Butterscotch did not increase from RM3.82 to RM4.45. That price of RM3.82 is the price to the retailers who are then expected to charge RM4.45 (inclusive of GST) to make a profit margin of 42sen + GST of 25sen.

Gardenia Butterscotch price, which is a "specialty" product targeted at more discerning consumers, is subject to GST. The retail price before is RM4.20 and with GST of 6%, it will be RM4.45.

As for normal people like me, we are unaffected as you can clearly see that the price of plain bread such as Gardenia Original Classic 400g will NOT be increased with GST. It is retailed at RM2.40 today and after GST is implemented, tomorrow it will still retail at RM2.40 since it is GST exempted.
