It seems really obvious now. I knew CCTV are planted already all around us. Now there will be intelligence planted among those who patrol our neighbourhood. It is a great move and it can be very scarry one too.
In terms of national security it will be a plausable move. The intelligence network that reaches the grass root would enable the authority to learn threats quicker. It will bring a faster and a more accurate counter measure.
On the other hand, having these senses of potentially being watched and monitored, people will be uneasy. And it doesn't mean that the person who felt that way is necessarily a person who has ill-intentions. It is just a normal, human instinct.
It's even more worrying since the country's political situation is not stable. Many people learn so much from the history about the Nazi and the Vietnam wars where lives of many innocent people were badly affected as a result of poor, desperate intelligence.
We surely do not want to fall as victims. The move definitely sends a grave message around. A Martial Law is probably in the making.
